As Nic prepares for this weekend's nationwide opening of ‘Ghost Rider: Spirt of Vengence,’ actor Nicolas Cage says he’s taking a more big-picture approach to a career that has included starring roles in films like ‘The Rock,’ ‘Raising Arizona’ and ‘Leaving Las Vegas.
’During an interview for the Huffington Post, Cage said winning another Oscar doesn’t interest or motivate him. “I would like to find a way to embrace what Led Zeppelin did, in filmmaking,” he says. “What I’m excited about is trying to create a kind of a cultural understanding through my muse that is part of the zeitgeist that isn’t motivated by vanity or magazine covers or awards. Not countercultural, but counter-critical.”
Aerosmith Recording A Concept Album
Joe Bosso from MusicRadar caught up with producer Jack Douglas, engineer Warren Huart to discuss Aerosmith's forthcoming album. Here is a portion where

"We're going back to the rawness. There's something special about the vintage Aerosmith vibe, and that's what we have here. It's got that '70s feel and sense
of humor. It's a bit of a concept album – there's a theme running through it, but I can't really talk about that right now. But to get that edge and spirit, it made
sense to capture tracks live with the band playing all out.
Steven Tyler recently teamed up with country superstar Carrie Underwood for CMT's Crossroad series and video is now online.
The episode was broadcast live from Indianapolis during Super Bowl weekend. Tyler and Underwood rocked out on each other's tunes: Aerosmith fans heard tracks like "Sweet Emotion," "Love In An Elevator," Cryin'" and "Walk This Way."
Ringo Starr is slowly recovering from a bout of pneumonia. The 72-year-old rocker was forced to back out of appearances at Paul McCartney's Hollywood Walk Of Fame and MusiCares Gala last week, and was a no-show at Sunday night's (February 12th) Grammy telecast where he was slated to appear as a presenter. Ringo's publicist sent a message to fans via Beatles Examiner, saying, "Please let people know he is doing steadily better and appreciates their love and well wishes!"
Ringo's new album, Ringo 2012, debuted at Number 80 on the Billboard 200 charts -- 22 spots lower than his last album, Y Not, placed upon release in 2010.
Ringo 2012 charted at a respectable Number 21 on the Billboard's Rock Albums list.
