I got my radio license October 2nd 1981 and became the Chief Announcer at WSCC where I hosted Rod's Rockpile. I then worked for WDMC in Richmond until graduating from Eastern Kentucky University. Fall of 1985, I worked the night shift for First Radio in Somerset for a year or so then became the morning guy for WSFC-AM & WSEK-FM...a lot of running from studio to studio. I always wanted to work at a Classic Rock station...and when WKEQ Classic Hits Q97 hit the airwaves in September 2006...my dream came true. Thanks for listening and keep on keepin' on!

I hosted afternoon drive on the Q until October 11th 2011 but still fill in on Q97 anytime I get the chance. My new adventure began April 8th 2013 with Roots of Rock on iHeart Radio. Roots Of Rock Include Plant & Page
Robert Plant & Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin have influenced generations of musicians and songwriters but are quick to tip their hats to their insprations. The Zeppelin catalog is filled with touches, rewrites and full on ripped off songs from blues masters past. It always struck me funny how it took some Englishmen to take original American roots music...digest it and reproduce it for it to be accepted and adored by the American music loving public. I'm glad they did...because I have done some digging and discovering because of their tips of the hat. Thank you, sirs!

Roots Of Rock Sounds Great On IHeartRadio...
...and through a 1978 Kenwood receiver with an R2D2 in the room standing guard as I split my USB from my Smartphone output with RCA adapters plugged into the auxiliary inputs because when this receiver was made...there were no USB ports...or CDs.
